Francesca German

Francesca German

Instructor

Biography

Originally from the French part of Switzerland, Francesca German holds a Bachelor’s (2022) and Master's degree (2023) in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford. After graduating from university, she worked as a special needs English literature teacher for two years, an experience which introduced her to the many joys of teaching and indeed made her fall in love with it! Committed to the study of the humanities as a whole, Francesca particularly enjoys helping students discover the rich links between different subjects, whether literature, philosophy, art, music, or history. Her own intellectual interests are ever-expanding, but she does remain faithfully devoted to her love of French Literature (in particular the work of Victor Hugo and Proust), the history of ideas, and aesthetics.

Francesca is currently studying Spiritual Theology at the Angelicum in Rome and plans to return to the United Kingdom in the next academic year to begin a PhD in Theology. In her spare time, she is also a keen choral singer with a particular love for Renaissance and Baroque poliphony.
