Biography

Zach Rodriguez holds a diploma in Byzantine Music through a collaborative program between the School of Ecclesiastical Music in Lebanon and the Hellenic Conservatory of Music and Arts in Cyprus, where he studied under Mr. Athanasios Paivanas and Mr. Joseph Yazbeck.

He began studying Byzantine chant in 2015 and went on to serve for ten years as Protopsaltis at Holy Ascension Orthodox Church in Norman, Oklahoma, helping lead and shape the parish’s liturgical music.

Alongside his ecclesiastical work, Zach has served professionally as a civilian employee of the U.S. Air Force in roles including data analyst and software developer.

In 2025, he accepted the position of Protopsaltis and Pastoral Assistant at St. George Orthodox Church in St. George, Utah. He is married and the father of five daughters.
